The Anegada Desert Duel

    The Anegada Desert Duel takes place on Sunday 13th September 2009

    This years race will feature categories for Expert, Intermediate, Junior (13 to 17) & Social
    riders with a separate race for Cadets (8-12).

    The race will start and finish at Anegada Reef Hotel, with riders heading out to Cow
    Wreck beach then Loblolly Beach through the Settlement and back to Anegada reef.
    Intermediate & junior riders will miss out the section to Loblolly and Social riders willl
    only ride to the Setting Point/Cow Wreck junction before heading back to the settlement
    and then turning around to head back to the finish.

    As there are no hills on Anegada the race will be completely flat however with a mix of
    Sand, Coral & Paved roads knobbly tires are highly recommended.  Social riders will
    have a short sand section but will mostly be riding on paved roads.

    The cadet race will be on a separate course.

    Prizes & Medals will be awarded for the winners of each category.

    Entry fees are $35 which includes Race Entry, Return ferry from Tortola or Virgin Gorda
    and Lunch at Anegada Reef Hotel.

    Spectators and Friends are welcome with the cost being $30 for ferry only or $40 for
    ferry & lunch.

    So you can bring the family for a day out in Anegada for only $30!!!

    Raffle Tickets will be on Sale on the ferry on the way to Anegada and after the race, raffle
    tickets will cost $5.

    Speedy Ferries will be providing the ferry to transport riders, spectators, friends and
    family to Anegada.

    The Ferry will depart from Virgin Gorda at 8.30am sharp and Trellis Bay at 9.00am sharp
    returning from Anegada at 5pm.
