X-UP and Cadet Series Kick off

    Next week will see the start of the X-UP Series and the Cadet Series

    The first X-UP race will take place on Wednesday 1st April at 6.30am Sharp.
    X-Up is Short for Xtreme Up Hill and is a fun series taking in some the Islands biggest
    climbs. All race are on Wednesday morning and should last no longer than 30 Minutes.

    The first race will go from Kong Mings Chinese in East End up Little Dix Hill and Finish at
    Hope Hill Church.

    There are no Entry Fees, No Registration and No Prizes in the X-UP Series however the
    top 5 finishers will score points. There are also bonus points for completing all the races
    in the series.

    1st - 5 Points
    2nd - 4 Points
    3rd - 3 Points
    4th - 2 Points
    5th - 1 Point

    Completing all the races - 10 Bonus Points
    The winner of the series will receive the Prestigious King of Hill Trophy.

    Results of these races will not make a difference to the regular MTB Championships.

    Cadet Series

    Following the success of the Cadet Race at De Loose Mongoose Event and as previously
    mentioned the BVI Mountain Bike Club is pleased to announce that we will be running a
    dedicated Cadet Series for children aged 8-12.

    The series will consist of 5 races taking place over the coming months, all races will be off
    the road, or in areas of very little traffic and will be fully marshaled to ensure the safety of
    the participants.

    There will  be separate categories for Boys and Girls as well as an overall championship.
    Club membership for Cadets is free and there will be no race entry fees.

    The first race takes place on Sunday 5th April at the Cruise Ship Dock in Road Town. The
    course is completely off road and away from the Traffic, a map of the route is below.
    Riders will ride a total of 12 Laps to a distance of 5 Miles.

    Registration starts at 7.30am with the race starting at 8am. Water and Gatorade will be
    provided.
